The Witch House - Haunted Hand Bar
The Witch House of Salem, Massachusetts is one of the only structures left with direct ties to the Salem witch trials. Built somewhere between 1620 and 1642, the house is an excellent example of 17th century New England architecture. The house is otherwise known as the Jonathan Corwin House. Jonathan was a judge involved with the witch trials. He took the place of Judge Nathaniel Saltonstall, who resigned after Bridget Bishop was executed. Judge Corwin was called upon to investigate the rising claims of witchcraft. The court rulings eventually sent 19 people to the gallows for practicing witchcraft. The house now serves as a museum operated by the City of Salem and is open seasonally. There have been several reports of paranormal activity inside the house. The Ghost Adventures crew investigated the house and found evidence that suggests that it is indeed haunted.
